It's been awhile since I've dragged myself out of the studio, sat down at the computer and actually tried to get some proper work done; put up a website, join the digital world and keep myself organized. It's going to take me a bit of time to get up to speed and in the habit as I generally have a tough time focusing my attention when looking at the screen. I'm going to try though.
I am going to try to keep things up to date as well as begin to show some of my process, time lapse photos, sketchbooks, thoughts about art, and the art world, current paintings, shows, and a few essays I've written. I've never been overly comfortable with showing anyone 'behind the curtain'.

My work:
A few words about myself and my work in general.
I went through art school a lifetime ago and have always gravitated towards abstraction as it affords me more freedom to follow my aesthetic and to create a sense of something, my understanding, without tethering myself to the reality of an object.
My major works are mostly painted with palette knives as they mirror the structured nature of our surroundings and our architectural landscape although I do frequently use brushes as well. These paintings are done with oils as I find the depth of colours to be much more meaningful. Although I do branch out and hope to more so in the future using other mediums, my first love is still oil paints.
I am a big proponent of time spent and am in my studio seven days a week. There is no substitute.
